Why did you decide to become a business teacher?
I decided to become a business teacher after a very successful professional career because I wanted to contribute to better education opportunities for my children and for other families who value education like we do.
Can you explain the main units of this subject?For MYP students we develop an integrated course which includes economics, business, and entrepreneurship. We explore key topics in microeconomics and macroeconomics, like scarcity, supply and demand. In the business part, we cover operations, finance, human resource management and marketing. The entrepreneurship unit is about business ideas, creativity, start-ups and generally being entrepreneurial in life.
Do you think that business can be a helpful thing or skill that can be useful in our future? If yes, why do you think it is important?Economics and business are about managing material things in life, and everyone would benefit from being better at this. Even if a person is not an entrepreneur, being more creative and entrepreneurial makes life better and more interesting.
Why do you think students should choose this + course?Anyone would benefit from being able to make better financial decisions, but I wish students would choose this course, if they believe it is interesting for them and if they are willing to invest their own effort to create a better learning experience.

Why did you decide to join this class?I decided to join this class because I wanted to get the lowdown on business, you know? Figured it was a handy skill for life, actually, I think it's one of the most important subjects.
Can you explain the main things you do in this subject?
In this subject, we're diving into the business world. We're learning how companies tic, and even pretending to be big-shot CEOs making decisions. It's not just theory; we get to put our brains to work. Sometimes we learn also by doing business games and wins who at the end manage to get more money for example.
What are the features you like most about this subject?
Well, I like that it's not just about numbers and spreadsheets. We're learning how businesses operate in the real world, and that's pretty interesting. Also, the teacher is very funny and tries to engage us students in every lesson.
What is the bigger project you're developing at the moment?
In this moment we're not doing a business project in the classroom, but in MYP4 we will have to make our business idea for acceleration lab which is mandatory, so it's very important to learn this subject this year.
Do you think that business skills can be a helpful thing or skill that can be useful in our future? If yes, why do you think it's important?
Totally. Business skills are like a secret weapon for the future. Whether you're running your own show or part of a big company, understanding how things work is gold and crucial if you want to be successful.

If others are thinking about this course, I'd say go for it! It's not just about suits and ties; it's about getting a grip on how the business game is played. Plus, who doesn't want to be the mastermind behind their own made-up company? It's a blast!
