Band Recommendations, and their best songs

Music these days has a small variety that mostly consists of hip-hop and rap. Most people like this but personally, I prefer much older bands. Here are some bands that I recommend that sound like older-style music.

TV Girl: An indie band, that sounds like a mix of the Smiths, and the Arctic Monkeys, it basically just sounds like an underground band that a couple of teenagers came up with in the 80's but in the best way possible. I really recommend their album French Exit, and my favourite songs from it are:

1. Lovers rock

2. Birds don't sing

3. Hate yourself

Sufjan Stevens: An incredible artist who is brilliant at the acoustic guitar and has the softest, most delicate voice, not to mention the deep and meaningful lyrics. All of his songs make me feel very emotional, and not something I generally feel with music, he reminds me a lot of Simon and Garfunkel, and his best album is his Carrie & Lowell, but I also adore all of the songs he wrote, and sung for the film "call me by your name." My top 3 songs are:

1. Visions of Gideon

2. Mystery of love

3. Should have known better

Current Joys: A very good indie band with some incredible songs, I don't know how to explain their music apart from that it just sounds like the Smiths, but newer and less sad. I really enjoy listening to their music but I don't listen to them as much as I used to, but now when I'm listening to old playlists I made in 2020 and come across their music, it makes me happy. I love their Wild Heart album and my favourite songs from it are:

1. Blondie

2. New flesh

3. I'm terrified

Tame Impala: A very popular band with some brilliant songs, they're very hippy sounding and quite retro and dreamy even though they are classed as a "newer" band. I can't really place what they remind me of because it's not really like anything I've listened to, but it's really good and I'd really recommend it. I really like the album currents and the slow rush. I think that they are very good. My favourite songs from them are

1. The Less I Know The Better

2. One More Hour

3. Elephant

Mac Demarco: A really good artist with some great hits. Just like The Cure, his music can change from happy and upbeat, to sad and slow. His music is really good, and I would really recommend it to people who like the Smiths, and The Cure. His best album, in my opinion, is the 2 album. My favourite songs from it are:

1. My kind of woman

2. Heart to heart

3. Freaking out the neighbour

Salvia Palth: I was all over her.

An incredible song by the artist Salvia Palth is about being really lonely and now being able to change because you push everyone away. I think that this is a very good song and sounds very dreamy. I really love this song and none of his other songs can compare.
